I will possibly be there. And staying at the same motel as you are booked into.

My wife is having surgery in January and we are waiting on the dates for her procedure.

Otherwise, I plan to be there for the first 3 days. I am looking at the floor plan and I am making a list of booths to visit. I would like to check out some fishing trips, that I have not been on before, plus visit some rifle makers. the rifle I had on order fell through, and I will be looking for something. I am not sure what until I list some booths.

It looks like a good bunch and it is good to see an African Outfitter (KMG) come to the convention. Hopefully more to come.

Good Lord willing, I will be there. Considering this is prime whitetail rut in Mexico says a lot. This will be my 33rd or 34th year only missing out because of the ice storm back in the 90's(?) and of course, last year.

COVID is increasing .

This judge was basically just given the authority to issue mask mandates. Forgot his name.

I am concerned .

Clay Jenkins, that is his name, he is the Dallas County Judge and has issued several idiotic orders (in my opinion anyway).
The State of Texas gives a lot of power to these county judges (I'm sure one or more of the Texas attorney's who post on here could elaborate) and this one seems to enjoy his authority and favors mask mandates.
The City currently doesn't require masks in City owned buildings according to their website, but the City also says they will follow any local orders. Might be bad.

Jenkins has mannerism about him that is very peculiar. Sort of quirky?

If there was a mask mandate it would be interesting to see how many people actually wore a mask after passing through the doors. With the DSC crowd, I doubt the percentage would be very high. If asked to put their mask on by convention center officials, I am sure most would comply then remove the mask after getting out of eyesight.

I plan to be there.
