now that I can get a couple minutes free: Got back from zim last week. Hunting the loveld for ele. next to gona rhe zhou. Quickest ele hunt ever. Shot about a 50-55# bull first day there. Had 4 visiting a waterhole, 3 askari's and their mentor. 2nd ele in was the mentor. kinda of a big fellow, we stood about 2 1/2' taller than the askari with him, and the askari was about a 45#er. Jumbo moores area there is on communal land, so there isn't much there except ele. and the occassional lion or leopard. We atayed on a few days and baited for one particular leopard, that used to be there and was very large, but no success whatsoever. With nothing there we moved up to his arda area in the save consv. This is always a super camp. Didn't have anything in particular on the list, so we just hunted for a monster anything. Found one nice klipspringer, and a really pretty bushbuck that goes about 16". Sure wish we could have had a corc permit. saw one that was about 14' but was fat as a pig. Really a monster. We drove from bulawayo to the lowveld and back. If uncle bob is'nt disaster enough, the drought is really going to finish off alot of people. I don't believe that we saw one productive crop anywhere. The corn stalks are just dead with no ears whatsoever. Small rivers are dry, as are most of the waterholes. In gona rhe zhou, there are no pumps working, the trucks are all broken etc. it's going to be a hellish year in zim. I was hunting with clive hallamore & he tells me that the dry is all over the country. Should be a super year for hunting, because all the game is going to be at wherever the water is. with the so called election over now, it's interesting to note that in talking to people there about it, nobody was really planning on voting anyway, since they all knew what the outcome was to be. one thing it was there was hot. we had a thermometer in a skinning shed in the shade - 106. the sun was really baking everything. at present the offical money exchange was 6000-1 but they expect that to change soon. black market was up around 15000-1. one thing i noticed was that many of the merchants didn't even buy/sell with zim dollers. they were all using U.S. Guess I can't blame them. all in all it does make you thankful for what we have.

If you want to email me some to post, I'll be happy to help out. My email is in my profile. As George said, if you upload them to a photo hosting site it is pretty easy to post them.
