Well guys.....my ride didn't show up today. Sort of like my bag in Bulawayo the other day! So I spent the day on Elephant Hills Golf course shooting animals.......with a camera - standing by the various green flags. Got Impala, Kudu, Waterbuck, Warthog, Baboon, Monkeys, Baobab trees on the fairways and tee boxes. Acacia thorn trees. Various halarious signs throught the course. Of course.....the "beware of crocs" sign. etc. etc. I am going to make a Golf calendar for my golfing buddies......I HATE GOLF - BUT THEY DON'T, AND THEY PUT WITH WITH MY CONSTANT AFRICA HUNTING SONG AND DANCE. Just another day at the Ultimate. If they do not show up tomorrow......I am going to have to put up with meeting Judge G. Life is tough.

yuck I'm no fan of golf either, but I'd buy your calendar.
Cheers,
David

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Brennan,

Stuck at the Ultimate - life is tough!

If you get REALLY bored maybe get Rob Style to show you some of the lesser seen attractions around town!

Nice! You should try hiring a bag of clubs and go chase that little white ball around the course. Just try keep it on the short stuff, as wandering into the rough there could end up being quite 'rough' so to speak! Golf can actually be quite a fun game once you get into it, but it can also be incredibly frustrating when things are not going to plan! I always enjoy golf-courses for the wildlife aspect, you can get so close to some birds and mammals that are otherwise incredibly skittish! Also makes for good photography! Enjoy!

Brennan, since I can't can't hunt bushbucks here in Montana I do play a little golf. I think I have a little over 100 days on the course this year.

By your post, I take it that you're in Zim right now. Is this the year of your elephant hunt?

Hope you got some good pictures and will share them with us.

Also, good hunting!

While waiting for bags with ammo, firearms, or a connecting flite in Bulawayo, I preferred the Brass Monkey with all the young "chickies" but they closed it....don't know what I would do now but golf is not an option!

Good shooting... If I could carry a rifle in my golf bag to shoot ground hogs, I still would be golfing. But my thoughts are of a hunter and not golfing. Big handicap.
