I recently cleared some trophies at Atlanta and found it to be a simple exercise. I had some Euro skull mounts and hides from a hunt in Namibia this time last year. When my shipping agent in Windhoek advised me that he was ready to ship, I called the FWS in Atlanta and was advised to go to their website. Just followed the directions to set up an account, listing myself as the receiving agent. I had the shipping agent fax me copies of the info attached to the crate(invoices and packing lists, vet cert, air waybill, bill of lading, export permits, etc). I inturn faxed these to the FWS. I received an e-mail from the FWS stating that the shipment had been cleared. I went to the British Airways cargo building, got the shipping packet and proceeded to customs, about 5 min by car. It took 3 min at customs and I was back to BA. I gave them $6 for three days storage and another $22 to TSC, what ever that is, and a few bucks for something else. Total was less than $40. I loaded up the box and was on my way. It's that easy ![]() | ||
