These Franco-Swiss "flowers" look like the "fireweed" of Alaska. Bet there are some blueberries nearby too. And this is Saeed flying in the Alps: Head first and feet first? How fast is top speed? Do they let you go head first and extend your arms and pretend to soar and screech like an eagle or falcon? That blue flap standing up over the flyer's back seems to give a clue as to direction of flight: Head first despite apparent tilt of the zipline? Unfortunately, it would also seem to be a little drag-chute to slow down the flyer.

You are only allowed to go head first. There were two legs between three mountains. Each leg is about 1100-1200 meters. Speed can be up to 100 km/h, I think depends your weight. They had a weight limit for both minimum and maximum weight a person can be to go on the line. Hessa could not as she was too light. They prefer you to hold on to the rear strap - as you can see from the photo. I have anaction camera video of this, which I will post here. There are plenty of blueberries, rasbberies and wild strawberries. Luckily, there were no ronmberries growing on the mountain though

Good one, Saeed. Fireweed and wild blue berries, would make this "ronmberry" feel right at home. I miss Alaska. I understand now, 2 segments, you start high, accelerate down the zipline, and then you are traveling uphill and slowing down at the end of the sagged-in-the-middle/arched segment of hanging cable, before beginning the next segment. Wow! I would expect Walter to do it feet-first, up-side-down and squeeling like this-little-piggy-all-the-way-home, just to be different, as usual. Video of alpine zipline.

Very cool! It does look funtastic! Was that video taken with a GoPro? I have been pretty impressed with some of the clips I've seen online from those cameras.

Chris, The video I took from the zipwire was from a GoPro2. I have packed a couple of them to take on our safari.
