I hesitated to post the video here. But I thought, it is worth seeing what ended up in public.

I don't agree with the way the "hunt" was conducted, but I also don't agree with the way this was "reported.

This is killing our privilidge to hunt in Africa.

I bet Derek Gobbett will be high on every safari operators list of "must have" videographers list. I also submit that if he had filmed a true stalking Lion hunt in anywhere Africa, the anti's would be outraged at that as well. They want all hunting stopped, not just this type of canned hunt.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

I agree with you 100%. The anti-hunters would be outraged over a baited hunt, stalking hunt, rifle hunt, spear hunt, killing a lion with your bare hands, etc. etc.

The problem with this hunt is that many people that are neutral on the issue see this and become anti-hunting for iconic species even though they hunt in the US. After watching the video in some way I do not blame them if all they had was this video to judge Africa hunting.

If there wasn't a demand for that type of thing, there obviously wouldn't be much of a market for it. Anyone with half a brain can figure out what's going on in that video, along with a couple of canned "hunts" I've seen on The Outdoor Channel and Sportsman's Channel where obviously drugged lions were bowkilled. I find this particular type of hunting pathetic at best personally, and would find no honor in it.

I guess hero shots are worth lots of $$$ to these wannabe hunters.

I think it is okay to show this "pratise".
I also know, that the antis "will controll everything"..., yes, they dont what kind of hunt it is, even the correct way...

But I think that the normale people can juge fair.
This kind of "hunt" has to be stopped!

This was the biggest sh... in hunting I have seen this year.
Shame on them.
Sh... on them.
