I'm going to DSC next week and wanted to get some recommendations of people to talk to. I already plan on talking to CMS and Martin Pieters but any other suggestions?

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

Come see me in booth 4302. Terry Anders/Forever African Safaris will be with me. He can handle about anything you'd like in Zim for hunting as well as book you on a photo tour before or after your hunt.

Well, I always look to anyone that really stands out from the crowd, and a green mankini will most certainly make you stand out. So CMS has my vote. Sorry Buzz jumping

Pro Safaris Africa/Louis Muller. I had a great hunt there in March, I've know the Mullers for 25 years. Louis is the current chairman of the ZPHA

I would visit with Gary and Neil Duckworth at Mokore Safaris. Great tuskless hunting at Sengwa Research Area. Wonderful new camp and the best of folks.

This really is a question about which AREA has decent numbers of tuskless. TL have been hammered in most of the Zim safari areas as this has been a popular inexpensive way to hunt elephant. TL hunting is a game of numbers ... you have to find that one TL cow without a dependent calf.

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to the question and most posters here don't either, for they have only hunted the areas they know well. I would suggest that you get a hold of a PH who freelances (ie hunts different areas) ... one that comes to mind is Scott Guthrie. PM me I will give you his contact info.

Elephants move a lot and the time of year can be paramount to success. Sometimes as little as a week can spell the difference between success and failure. I have several good outfits in Zim but timing is important. I'll be in booth #833 if you wish to stop by. Cheers, LDK

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

The times I have been to Chewore North there have been plenty of Tuskless, in fact a well experienced PH of the area (likely the most experienced of the area) says you will score within days. Mine was taken on day one.
