I sometimes say to people who ask "How can you kill animals for pleasure?" two different ways:

The fact 90 percent of humanity eats meat, and therefore are ok with killing animals for their own pleasure, means there is no difference between meat eaters and hunters. In other words, the average non-hunter would never give up a steak in return for outlawing hunting.

And, you can add: 3. What are the animals' purposes here on earth? Answer: Not only to provide meat, but have you looked at the list of things that animals provide to human beings? (Including for the benefit of our good vegetarian and vegan friends) Take a moment and look up on the internet just how many diverse items a pig and/or a cow provide to all mankind. So, in essence, a vegetarian and a vegan cannot live in society without using parts of animals in their daily lives.
