Saw it for sale on gunbroken.com. Copy says it's an MDI lower. Does it come pre-demilled for your rewelding pleasure or something?

Is it supposed to be one of those switch caliber AR lowers? Change out your magazine for whatever caliber you need? It looks like the mag well has a slot/groove attachment to change it.

Just a guess. Personally, I'd buy 2 guns instead. I'd be worried something would fall apart at the worst time....

i think Lauer was doing this as well (might be the same project?). allows you to have multiple calibers and cartidge sizes with one receiver, as the back half of the lower is the serialized part. from what i remember of the article in shotgun news or gun list, the quality was top-notch.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

Ok, let's assume that. It would then seem that the upper is what's used to align it in both planes. To me, the whole idea seems a little hokey. A tiny fraction of misalignment, and the bolt carrier goes nowhere...

I'm thinking the part with the trigger group in it is the "firearm" portion of this lash-up...
