Saw it for sale on gunbroken.com. Copy says it's an MDI lower. Does it come pre-demilled for your rewelding pleasure or something?

crbutlerIs it supposed to be one of those switch caliber AR lowers? Change out your magazine for whatever caliber you need? It looks like the mag well has a slot/groove attachment to change it.
Just a guess. Personally, I'd buy 2 guns instead. I'd be worried something would fall apart at the worst time....

724wdi think Lauer was doing this as well (might be the same project?). allows you to have multiple calibers and cartidge sizes with one receiver, as the back half of the lower is the serialized part. from what i remember of the article in shotgun news or gun list, the quality was top-notch.

Ok, let's assume that. It would then seem that the upper is what's used to align it in both planes. To me, the whole idea seems a little hokey. A tiny fraction of misalignment, and the bolt carrier goes nowhere...
