there is a difference between basic functional and best option. They are basic IMHO. There is less of a difference between value priced and over priced with most of this stuff. Their stuff is functional.

Tactical has become the way to rebrand things and triple the retail.

Rich,
have you USED the tapco t6? American made, tight tolerances, outstanding reviews on amazon and midway. seems to be a hidden value. I'd prefer not to have total conjecture when we might have a hidden gem waiting for us to use

ALL tactical is "functional" with the playtical being the exotic stuff hanging on it.

I have the AK version on my Saiga .308 Win. which compares favorably with the S+W made version on my MP 15. The Tapco isn't quite as tight in terms of the extension tube fit/rattle compared to the S+W model, but feels just as sturdy even with .308 recoil and the price can't be beat...

In a related note, I haven't had good luck with Tapco mags. feeding in my MP 15, but their AK versions feed perfectly in my WASRs and although they require minor fitting to lock in, for $6-10 they are tough and rattle free once fitted.

All in all Tapco can be a diamond in the rough and I would try their products before you write them off entirely...
