What is the current value of an 8X57 Remington 700? I ran across one in a local shop with an asking price of $599 - would have thought the 2004 [I believe] would have been worth more than that. This one appears to be as new, sure did not show any handling marks, etc. and had a very nice piece of walnut in the stock.
Any ideas?

Lord, give me patience 'cuz if you give me strength I'll need bail money!!

Here is a link to a 10 month old auction:

I don't think 8x57 is in high demand. Your location may be one. You might offer $450 cash and go from there.

do you want an 8x57 AND remington? here's the problem.. factory 8mm ammo, US, is weak ... and some folks think a push feed with a mauser round could cause antimater/mater explosion,

i'd offer 350, with 450 total in my pocket, if i wanted one ... the same gun in 308,7x57 or 708 would get another couple bucks out of me..

remember, you are comparing it to a used 30-06, not a classic in 257 bob
