Anyone know anything about Mauser .22's in sport models (not military)? I talked to a gentleman who just bought a large collection but only wanted about half the guns for himself. One of the guns he's selling is a Mauser .22 that I think he said was a "model 201"? I don't have pictures yet, but he claims it is a very sharp, well built rifle. Any idea of what this is &/or value?

The Mauser 201 is a very fine made 22. It was inported in the US by Kleingunter ot Texas as the K-22. It is unique in that it has the locking lugs like a centerfire inon the front of the bolt.
These rifles ARE Rare and it is hard to price them I have seen them sold for anywhere between $600. and $1000. If they have the Delux version Walnut stock or the RARE set trigger that ads to the value.
Thanx,
Jim
