Are there any production figures for Winchester pre-war Model 70 Bull Guns? Thanks.

There were only 2,706 total made out of the half million pre 64 model 70's. There were roughly 50,000 pre War model 70's made. I would say it would be a safe bet that there were around 1,000 or less (maybe much less) pre War Bull Guns.

I have tried to research but have turned up very little. One source says that 30-'06 is rarer. Most just mention the gun in passing.
Thanks for the help.

300 H&H is definitely more common in the Bull Gun. There are a very few 300 Win Mag Bulls as well. There is also a Bull made post 64 with a G added to the front of the serial number.

This particular rifle is a pre-war version. There must be some source of info with production figures.

There might be some production figures out there but good luck finding any! Rule's book is the most complete collection of the M70 and even with all his research he could not come up with numbers between pre and post war. Like other posters said there were 2,706 Bull Guns made with 844 in '06 and the remainder in 300H&H. While there were a few made in 300Win Mag they did not come out until 1963 so your pre-war would not in the Win Mag caliber.

There was also a 26" Bull Gun made very early in the production run of M70's that had 26" extra heavy barrels in '06. If yours is one of these you truelly have a rare bird.
