Does anybody know when or if Ruger quit makeing these semi-autos.Does anyone out there know the worth of one of these in ex.condition

They made them about 15 or so years ago.
Unfortunately for you, they began production again on them a few years back and now the 10/44 is a regular catalogued item.

SCR, you have me worried.Why do you say unfortunately? The man did say he bought it about 4 years ago.Is it not a good shooter? What is wrong with them? He did say that the rotory clip didn't work but Ruger sent him two new ones.What are they worth used? Do you know how they shoot? Just looking for a woods rifle thats lite

Oh, I though you had an old one that you were looking to get a value on.
You know, like it was something rare.

My mistake.
I have heard issues about their rotary clip, but most of the issues had to do with breaking in the gun.
They are a really really cool gun and if you want to go hiking off into the brush, it is actually a pretty good choice.

Accuracy with it, as with all Rugers is luck of the draw.
Theire barrels do not come from a consistent source so the sccuracy can vary from day to day or month to month.

Thanks SCR, I may buy it if I can get him down to 400. I looked at it today at the range and it is like new and has the rings also.He said it shoots as good as he can shoot so it must be ok.

They are about $500 brand new.
Ask how it shoots before you buy it.

$400 sounds a bit high to me for a used Ruger.
$300-$350 is a little more reasonable.
