Looking for an approximate value for this Remington 1858 New Model Army in .44 caliber. Serial number is 120850. Action is tight and everything functions flawlessly. Bore has some pitting. Looks like someone used a soft steel brush on the pitted areas. Front sight blade is missing.                   Youth and vitality are wasted on the young. | ||

Between $1000 and $1500 just depends on where you try to sell it(what part of the country). The pics are good and "it is what it is" an honest gray gun with no finsh left but decent edges(non rounded). You will see them priced $2000 and up but thats not where they sell at. Thanks Wesley | |||

I agree with Wes and I'm in the south where such guns are in demand. However, condition is everything, and anything over $1,000 would be a bonus. Serious collectors would pay much more for a fine condition New Army. I'm looking at one right now that has been in the family since the war.
