Fellow archers; A friend of mine owns 7,000 acres of prime Kansas hunting grounds. He leases 13,000 acres from surrounding farms. This area contains huge bucks (his first buck scored 173). He has decided to open it to bow hunters ONLY this Fall, limiting the number of hunters to 10 per year. We are sold out for 2020. I am now offering next year (2021) to first come, first serve applicants. You must draw an archery tag but that runs about 100 percent. Blinds are Red Neck blinds (keeps you out of the rain, wind and helps concealment and scent control. Cost of this hunt is $4,000 with a $2,500 trophy fee (any buck, no fine for shooting less than a 140 buck). I watched 5 minutes of video while a 200 inch class 3.5 year old buck swatted some ever green trees. The owner said he would be a giant by next Fall. With the management that is in place, there should be some outstanding bucks taken this Fall and the owner intends to keep the plan into the future. There are a great many Quail, Turkeys and varmints on the farms, so that is something he's looking into offering later on, but the main focus is growing giant fair chase bucks.
