Anyone interested in an affordable Buffalo hunt with stick and string? We have a 5 day hunt (allow 2 extra days for travel, 7 total) for $3,000 all inclusive except travel to and from the hunting area (deluxe Bus travel runs around $50; air charter runs $300), hunting license $150, dip/pack and shipping of trophy. You would fly to BA, then charter by bus or air to the San Franciso area. It might vary depending upon where the Buffalo are at the time of your hunt. Hi Lorenzo, Hunts will be in Corrientes and/or Santiago Provinces. We can pick up the hunters at Santa Fe, or fly directly via charter to Santiago or Corrientes. Should provide a lot of stalking opportunities and a challenge for the advanced Bowman or Woman. Forgot to mention: for those who want a true wilderness type hunt, we can venture into the wilds via Horseback, sleep in tents and cook Buffalo liver over the open fire. Not sure the Atl would be a legal weapon in Argentina, but anything'a possible if a person is accurate enough  As for when, anytime from now until August if they have openings left. Hunting with atl atl is not forbidden, but ... I guess that not only you should be quite good in its proper use but also you should not be the only one using this kind of weapon with a water buffalo (I mean more than one hunter throwing spears with these devices at the same time in order to increase the effectiveness of the mortal wounds being made in a beast of that strenght),and of course, rely yourself in a confident backup   The latter not only for your own security but also to assure the beast to have a clean and as quick as possible death - since, having all the legal permissions in order, the worst scenario I can imagine that might make you encounter any legal problem about hunting with atl atl, would base on how was the beast killed (not with what - the idea is to avoid any charges on animal cruelty ... actually something quite unlikely to happen in Argentina  ------------------------------------------  Μολὼν λάβε Duc, sequere, aut de via decede. | |||

Justin, I would recommend nothing less than 60 lb draw weight. No sense in a hunter trying to over do his draw weight. If you can shoot 70 lbs comfortably, and accurately, then by all means, bring it. As in all bow hunting, the hunt will be to try and get as close as possible and take only the best killing shots. PH can back up with rifle for safety, and I recommend anyone having back up on dangerous game. Probably won't need it but just in case. Yes, all trophy game can be processed for shipment and sent to the States. There are Taxidermists in Argentina that handle trophies for hunters. We can help with that.
