Back around 1978, my buddy's GF drove a red 1967 Camaro with dog dish caps and a 230 or 250 cu. in. 6. The automatic tranny sounded and felt like it had a centrifugal clutch. Kinda weird. But sure chugged right along with 6 of us. Looked cool in bright red with white racing stripes. She traded it on a demonstrator Dodge Diplomat with only 3,000 miles and then someone T-boned her 7 weeks later, totaled it. She was fine, got the other side.

About 6 years ago my son was working in the oil fields + making good money. Get gets all the vintage car sales mags + bought a 69 Road Runner with 400 miles on it for $32K. He had it shipped here by rain from Cal. His wife had a cow that he spent that much money on it. I told her to chill, he WILL make money on this one + he did.

Nice deal if it was in decent condition no matter which engine it had. A lot can happen in all those years of sitting.

If it was an A12 package 69 1/2 Roadrunner he would have gotten well over 6 digits for the car if it was original drivetrain and unmolested.

It was all original + with that mileage, that was the reason he had it shipped. The guy in Cal. had it stored in a warehouse. I never asked my son what he sold it for but I do know he paid off all his bills + bought a new dually 3/4-ton pick-up + who knows what else. Shortly thereafter he had to pay for a divorce. Win some, lose some.
