Well, just back from Alaska, and a wonderful trip. We caught a lot of fish, too much to eat, great scenery, good friends - it grows more difficult to leave Alaska after each trip - I do truly love this place!

Sunrise on Mt. St. Elias.

Some silvers from the Situk River.

Results of our halibut trip 21 August - three 'buts in the 100# range.

And finally, sunset over Monti Bay - fitting end of the day for Alaska, don't you think?

Lord, give me patience 'cuz if you give me strength I'll need bail money!!

Looks like a nice trip. Can you enlarge the photos or do you need help? Three halibuts over 100# is a good day. I caught a 130# two weeks ago and some 16# silvers.

Looks like a great trip and a reminder of how beautiful Alaska is.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

It looks like you had another great trip Trapper. I hope to get back up next summer. It's been too long.

Much better with the larger photos. Thanks.

You don't have to convince me how nice Alaska is!

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
