What no pigs? No knives? Surely with a group that large it could be done. The dogs would actually get a bit of a break.

Juan,

That could be a lot of fun, it would be really neat if it could be worked out.

There are more like us you just have to look very hard and cherish them when you find them.

Tell Mrs. Pozzi, Icky, the girls and Julio I said hello.

In case you missed it, that's a hint, JTEX. Cool

There is nothing I would rather do, but I fear that this year March, April will not be possible.

Hoping for late September or October for next visit.

All the very best to Juan and all of you who can go.

Here in California, believe me, I am among the very last of the few. There are more freaks/liberals here than you can shake a stick at.

Two of my daughters live in la la land and have encouraged me to think of a move to be closer to them. I would like that and enjoy visiting but just don't see myself moving from Arizona where we enjoy such an open firearms environment to one where I can't even have a gun in the car. Not to mention the politics of the bay area.

JTEX has provided us with a very entertaining hunt report. Lets hear some thoughts on a AR hunt with Juan as the center of attention (i.e.not necessarily in Argentina).

Jtex:

I've got plenty of hogs, inviting someone to fly a few thousand miles to hunt them is entirely different. I just had 2 guys from Iowa I let hunt for free all day and night for a week and they managed to slay 3 piglets that might have averaged 50 pounds, while missing 2 larger sows. I NEVER invite anyone, except close personal friends who know the situation, to hunt hogs because they are so tough to predict and to kill on any given time schedule. These guys basically showed up at the door, hats in hand, because their supposed original contact and hog hunt land supplier was in the hospital, so I told them to have it and don't shoot any cattle. One dead 2 yr old bull after they left, but, to be fair, I'm fairly sure they had nothing to do with it's death. Fairly sure is not certainty, however. Just another reason I don't invite people I barely know to hunt on my place.

If you're so hot on the idea, I would suggest that you find a place that has plenty of hogs and invite us all to enjoy the bounty.

I think "volunteering" someone else's ranch is typical for SOME people and in damn poor taste.

If you could count you'd know how wrong you are.
Why don't we just bet anywhere from $1 to $100 ,or more if you've got the money, per word difference in the length of our respective hunting reports with Dr. Juan as they are written at this moment?

That would be a change, you putting YOUR money where your mouth is.

Gato? Is it the cramps?

You know nothing about me or my finacial situation. What's the deal?

When I said "I know the deal about your place" I meant the hunting situation. That's it. I remembered a post you had made a while back about the uncertainties of hunting there.

I meant no harm nor foul and if I communicated poorly ( which I am wont to do) you have my complete, sincere and public apologies.

Gato you are being a little hard on the guy. I was the one who suggested an AR/Juan hunt. If you don't want to participate, that is fine, but your attacks on JTEX are unwarranted.

CAT and JTex

I've not seen either of you critters in a couple years.

Just fer shitz n giggles, I'm prolly going to my lease near Concan/Reagan Wells, Tx. the first weekend in April. We're seeing a ton of turkeys, coyotes are howlin', bunch of grey foxes, coons (the four legged kind) out the azz. Eight or nine stands spinnin' corn, and a bunch of hogs. Maybe the three of us could get together and meet and stay for a couple or 3 days. Grill some steaks, drink some wine, have some whiskey, kill some critters, smoke some stogies, listen to some tunes and watch shooting stars and meteor showers without any light pollution.
Pay your way there and were good.

Let me know.

Best

GWB

Geedub,

I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate that nor how much I would enjoy that. You as usual are a class act Sir.

Jerry Huffaker is delivering my stuff from the previous African Safari on April 6th, and as much as I would enjoying spending time around the fire with ya' I GOTTA get my stuff. I am dying to see that Buffalo hangin on the fire place....

Maybe sometime if either of you are out Crosby way......we could enjoy a glass and a fire on the back patio, I would be honored.

Ya'll have a great time, hoist a glass for me.....I'll be there in spirit.

Don't miss it on my account Gato.

You know when you get older you are s'posed to have more time to do fun stuff.........I am screwin' up somwhere.....
