Can anyone recommend a satellite phone for use in southeastern Ecuador? It looks like Globalstar is the cheapest and their map appears to cover South America...is that the way to go or should I be looking at Iridium?

Not sure about the Globalstar, but have used the Iridium personally in many places...Tajikstan, Mongolia, China, Russia and Zambia and that is my choice (use to have the old Inmarsat..not nearly as good as the Iridium).
