RECIPROCITY FEE SUSPENSION FOR U.S. CITIZENS REMAINS IN PLACE
Dear Trek Clients,

On March 24, 2016, Argentina and the United States agreed to suspend the $160 Reciprocity Fee that was to be paid by U.S. Citizens before being allowed to enter Argentina. Initially this was to be a 90-day suspension, but recently the Argentina government decided to extend the suspension indefinitely or until a revocation decree is issued, meaning US Citizens traveling to Argentina do not need to purchase the fee.

Australian and Canadian citizens however still need to purchase the fee before entering Argentina and suggest you visit their website at https://dnm.provincianet.com.ar/Login. We will continue to monitor and share news on the reciprocity fee, meanwhile please feel free to call our office with any questions.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

Although this matter caught me by surprise 6 years ago when I first arrived in BA, it really turned out not to be a big deal. The Visa is good for 10 years, so $16 per year is in line with what other countries charge USA citizens for entry visas. Hardly a blip on the radar when considering all the other expenses involved in a trip. In any event, Argentina is a great place to go, especially for wingshooting. Give it a try.
