My friend WILLEM DE JAEGER a south african PH came to hunt with us again ,but this time he was totally focused in wing shooting ,he had been shooting 10 days ,hunting doves pidgeons and patriges his favourite game ,we have had many asados too ,and drunk quite a few malbecs.

I am safely back in South Africa. I wish to thank Juan for an incredible experience. I also wish to thank Flavia and Ikey, Billar and Lujan for welcoming me into your homes and your lives. I am very fortunate to have experienced your Argentinean hospitality and felt at all times that I was part of the family. The intention of this trip was to focus on wingshooting and that is exactly what we did. I have never in my life seen such multitudes of birds. When the doves take off in unison from the croplands their sheer numbers obscure the sun – I am not exaggerating. The pigeons are almost equal in number to the doves. I shot thousands of rounds on doves and pigeons and it was extremely good sport. The doves are smaller than the pigeons and they are slightly quicker on the wing than the pigeons. They are, however equally cunning and will both test any shooter’s ability. My favourite bird was undoubtedly the partridges. Juan’s dogs are excellently trained and partridges abound on his lands. I loved every minute of the partridge hunt and also enjoyed the scenery in and around San Fransisco. I also wish to thank Marcus and Julio for their friendship and assistance during my stay in Argentina. Also to the many new friends that I met at the yerra and off course the huge number of Juan’s friends that invited me to their homes for an asado. I cannot speak any higher of Juan, his family, his friends. I cannot imagine a better wingshooting experience anywhere else. Thank you my friend.

Willem is part of my family his an incredible experienced hunter but most of his experience is on KAROO s plains game so i introduced him on wing shooting and he became a fan in the first hunt specially of perdiz or partriges ,hes a great shot with rifle even on running targets like jackals so he easily became a wonderfull shot with shotgun ,i plan to visit him with my family soon and he wil came to live wnear me at least 6 months a year .
