My hog hunting knives:

First one is my Muela, works very well....


The big Rigid....works very well...


This next one is my parilla or asado knife. I bought it in San Francisco (Arg.) and one of the gun club members sharpened for me....it will shave hairs. Nothing better for costillas or a big bife chorizo.....note the Nandu toe handle....

I really like the looks of that Rigid bowie, congrats on a nice set of knives.

Jim ,yes merxworks are like holland and hollands,i like them a lot.
On respect on the tantos i used a lot of tantos specially COLD STEEL tantos with excellent results ,tantos are designed to offer penetration and they are really good for the task.Juan

I haven't had much luck finding out how to buy a Chanchero. Er, at least in English... (My Spanish has really rusted, apparently.)

Does anyone know of an English site where they're for sale?

I checked out the site that was posted, but I couldn't find the Chanchero on there.

I do not think one can find a true Chanchero here in the states. These two sites offer ones that are close, but expensive. That said, any good bowie should work......
