This is good news for those of us who wish to combine a fishing trip with our hunting in Argentina. The fishing area used by my friend Alberto Foerster (afoerster@arnet.com.ar), Sauce Viejo, will be included and declared together with some 160.000 hectares a National Park, and sporting fishing will be promoted by the Government of Santa Fé province. This is very good because it will became a wonderful preserved fishery, no nets, no more commercial predation. Local inhabitants that now a days make a living fishing and selling to local people, will be able to continue with this activity as a subsistence way of living. This provided wonderful fishing for me, and this move will only help to continue and expand on those fine days on the water. "When you play, play hard; when you work, don't play at all." In the immediate area of Sauce Viejo and Santa Fe I fished for Dorado and several varieties of very tenacious catfish. But my fishing was very limited due to time. Contact Alberto directly as he has more areas and information to offer. His e-mail is on the first post on this site. "When you play, play hard; when you work, don't play at all."
