I an scheduled for a duck and perdiz hunt in Argentina in July and am thinking about bringing my drilling and adding a big game hunt. I presume I can bring 40 rounds of rifle ammo with me if I have a gun permit. However, if I can get 16-gauge ammo in country I would prefer that to trying to bring it with me. One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know. - Groucho Marx

I have been down about 20 or so times. I have never seen 16 gauge shells in the places I went.

I have also been many times and work with an outfitter. The only time I’ve seen 16ga shells they were personal shells of one of the partners. They were not meant to be shot in the quantities you typically expect in Argentina. He only breaks out his AyA on occasion to “stretch its legs” on pigeons every now and then. However, ask your outfitter. They may be able to special order some. As others have said, they typically won’t be in the shell barn. I meant to be DSC Member...bad typing skills.
