Bringing a bow to Argentina

Can anyone out there enlighten me on the regulations regarding bringing a bow into Argentina? I'm planning a fishing trip to the country and though I might take in some hunting as well. Are bows treated as weapons and need licencing? Any info on surrounding countries (just in case!) would be greatly appreciated as well. Many thanks.

As far as I know, no regulations about bows. But you must ask your outfitter on hunting with bows, my guess is that there are no problems.
Good luck and be wellcomed

Sleepy,
As long as I know a bow is not considered a weapon. Someone else may have experience taking a bow to Argentina. I have imported (by mail) a bow, two sets of limbs and a riser without any problem other that huge inporting taxes.
BTW: laws say that you need more than 50# to hunt.
Hope this helps.
