A while back I shot an Arabian Oryx from our herd. Too many males. Gave most of the meat away, but kept some for us. Took some out yesterday, chopped into small pieces, fried them for a bit in butter. Chopped some onions, garlic fresh tomatoes and a few potatoes cut into small pieces. Added some fresh red and green chilis. Put the lot in a large pot, added some spices we mix here ourselves, and let it cook for may be 4 hours, slowly. Took all that out, put it in a large oven proof dish. Cooked Basmati rice, put the rice on top of the above meat mixture, covered it with an aluminium foil, and put in the oven, about a half hour before eating. Turned out absolutely delicious. I am sure you can use any meat.

Commonly referred to a Potjiekos or potjie pot in Africa. They are especially good with a few cases of Windhoek Draft. ___________________ Just Remember, We ALL Told You So.

Saeed was just stringing us along. Right after he said, "A while back.....", he could have said......"Turned out absolutely delicious"; and he would have saved me drooling all over the front of my shirt.
