[Instant Pot] Ham and Bean Soup Following are my full notes on a version of Ham and Bean Soup that I have been making in my new Instant Pot (Lux80), with good success. These notes assume that you are familiar with using an Instant Pot, and have some familiarity in a kitchen. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them - and if anyone wants to share some notes or advice, please feel free to do so!
Other notes - My personal feeling is that my cooking time might be a little longer than necessary in the "second stage," but it works, so I am reluctant to change anything, at this point. This recipe/method is of course quite versatile, so if you try it, please feel free to play with the ingredients etc. Enjoy! Ron

Ron,I'm not familiar with a "Insta Pot",but it sounds like a pressure cooker,is that correct? Looking forward to trying this recipe.Timing will make a difference due to altitude. I am at 1160 ASL here. Never mistake motion for action.

you are correct - it is a pressure cooker with several other functions; I'm not much of a "gadget guy," but this is indeed a handy tool to ahve in the kitchen, that will replace 3 or 4 other appliances. Here's mine: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071VCMK97/ Do give the soup a go! If making it without an Instant Pot, just do as you would normally do beans, soaking them overnight etc. The recipe that inspired this, Portuguese Bean Soup, is a true winner. If you want to take a look at that and give it a go, here it is: http://foodsoftheworld.activeb...an-soup_topic95.html
