I know there are a million recipies for Venison Meatloaf. Here is one I tried last night. It was damn good. I mixed about 1 and a half pounds of venison hamburger, 3 eggs, a tablespoon of grated celery, a tablespoon of grated green pepper, a half cup of grated onion, a teaspoon of celery salt (you could use regular salt, I just like the taste of celery salt), a teaspoon of poultry seasoning, a half teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper, a cup of regular bread crumbs ( I made my own out of stale bread in the food processor) and about a cup and a half of milk. Mixed the whole thing well, shape into a loaf, and put it in a breadpan and bake it at 350 degrees for about an hour. then, if you want something on top, put it on there and bake for about another 15 minutes before serving. I put some catsup, but I suppose you could use cream of mushroom soup or some other kind of barbeque or hot sauce on there as well. I served it with boiled potatoes and green beans. Damn good. | ||
