That reminds me --- How about some examples of food prep using things not designed to do so ? In the steel mill common practice was to bring a mason jar filled with soup or stew.Jar is well wrapped with aluminum foil and put on top of one of the many furnaces. It was ready to eat at lunch time . One of the welders surrounded some preheaters wih flash shields to hide it then cooked some steaks. He forgot about the smell - right to the foreman's office. I was once told of the practice to use expantion joints on a carrier to crack open walnuts !! True ? ![]() | |||
