VENISON/JALAPENO ROLL-UPS

Venison steak pieces, trimmed of fat and membrane
Whole jalapenos, either canned or fresh
Bacon slices

Marinade:
1 cup red wine
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Pepper to taste

Pound out venison steak pieces until thin and tender. Marinade the steak pieces for at least 3 hours:

Take whole jalapenos, either canned or fresh and split in half. Remove stems, seeds, and membranes.
Roll jalapeno halves inside marinated steak pieces, wrap with a slice or half slice of bacon, and secure with toothpick. Baste all with left over marinade, then sprinkle with additional brown sugar and grill over medium coals until bacon is fully cooked and meat is done. You won't be sorry you tried this recipe.

Have made this several times now with a few different ingredients but basically the same concept.Very tender, even tried pepper jack cheese in the roll but it would melt and run out.
Still good stuff.
