| I agree, much as I like venison, I do like a good beefsteak. I'm not familiar with that part of the country, though. One of the best places in Austin though was always Hill's Café for a good steak + baked potato, unfortunately, they went under a couple of years ago, like so many good places in the 'new' Austin. |

| No help from me. I have only been there twice. Isn't a Ruth's Chris filet considered a pretty seriously good beef steak?

| Capital Grille in DC has excellent steak. Pricey, but good.

| If you're ever in Boston, and you want one of the best steaks to be found there or anywhere else on Planet Earth, you need go to Grill 23 & Bar, in the Back Bay. Grill 23 & BarI have never had better, and I seriously doubt I ever will.

| Will do Michael, Don't know when or if I get a chance. Their french onion soup on the dinner menu reminded me how delicious Comte cheese is.

| Yes. I also make a fine steak when I find some with the proper marbling and even dry-aged on occasion. I have a secret weapon for the ultimate in flavor. It is difficult to find. PM if you want it. Might get time for a run up the coast that way through lower central Connecticut in the next few years. Thanks for the recommendations. How about king crab and lobster? Any place come to mind in that same area? Thanks. CB

| Brandon, Ann, y'all are killing me. Maybe I should have a steak on the 4th. My preference is a filet pan seared in butter and oven finished.

| We're having hot dogs. But, not just any, Hebrew National jumbo beef. Just had filets last week. They were tender enough. But, missed the mark on flavor. Happy 4th to all. CB

| Shhhhhhh. Secret weapon is tomato water squeezed directly on both sides from very ripe tomatoes just before serving. A bit more salt is recommended as well.
