Then you need to try New Zealand meat pies. They are the equivalent of the outcome of the Rugby World Cup Final - a sizeable amount better than the opposition.

1/2" thick crust and only 8 minutes baking time with a cooled filling?

Just sayin the one may want to test that one before depending on it for a meal.

No roo for me. Not going to claim that it is disgusting, but I don't like it at all. One of my top 5 least favorite meats. Taste like a iron pot.

My favorite is the Guiness Beef, followed closely by any that have wine in them. Burgandy beef is a top one.

Aussie meat pies are common all over Australia, the best ones found in small mom and pop places, and farmers markets.

I wouldn't necessarily ask a person over 50 what the best pie in town is. They will most likely be eating the ones they ate as a kid. Every older person I ever asked always pointed me to some mom and pop that had been there for 40 years that wasn't any good.

Australia has a great new tradition of great chefs and bakers and these kids are making amazing food. I know quite a few chefs that I consider some of the best chefs in the world.
