Saw this in an online newspaper today. It's called a Bacon Explosion. Looks like a major cholestrol bomb and a heart attack looking for a place to happen. But, I'm gonna have to give it a whirl! You only live once!

I've tried this, and I didn't care for it. It was too much for me. I'd rather have two crispy slices with a piece of toast than this monster. But, I know someone that loves this and will make it at least once a year.

NRA life member, thanks to Steve. Smiler

It looks like a fun dish for a change, but I think it would be a bit much very often.

You can shorten the process and have a somewhat similar result by doing as a friend who hunts on my place does. He loves what he calls "pig burger" which is basically seasoned ground up wild hog mixed with some fat. He discovered he loves it even more when it is ground up wild hog with about a 50/50 mixture of bacon, flavor of your choice, seasoning of your choice, cooked on grill over charcoal until thoroughly cooked. As most are aware, because of the high probability of wild hogs being infected with trichinella, always cook them to 160 degrees in the center, unless you've got a VERY cold freezer available to store it in.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.
