A few years back i got to work at a restaurant here in town ,it was fish, seafood.vegeterian and vegan. But a lot of carnivores worked there. It was a learning about a lot of other ways to prepare items, and see new things . And as a alternative to rice, poatoes if one do not know what exatcly one want to have that day,or to pack and travel light . Fine in salads also it is also.

But i learnt alot about why vegan is not a good thing, and the lack of having short traveled farms in city areas was one thing not good . And the worst bit is if yo6 export a native produce abroad, the rest get high in peice for the remaining that is left back home there.

But over to the tip.

Quinoa is very much protein filling, it can give a lot of nutrion and its very good,to be a variation for potaoes, rice, pasta. But there is a easy to mess with it. It has lot of starch so wash it very good like rice Before you cook it,
And drain it good to get rid of starch water and such.

Then boil it , do not rinse in cold water, just drain it to dry it off. It is now ready to use . Either mix it in a stew, or side dish ,or as it is , or sprinkle on top of things .
