looking to buy in the near future a meat bandsaw for deer and hogs. any suggestions for one that is good and not gonna break the bank? thanks

John,a bandsaw is still just a bandsaw;it does not need be to restaurant (s/s) grade.WW Graingers has them for under $400.00.I assume Harbor freight has them as well,but you get what you pay for.I suppose it all depends on the volume that you will be using if for.

except that the game processing ones have that sausage grinding/stuffing thing on the side. don't know if he has a stand alone one though.

Deer should never be sawed, bone them out ands slice steaks, remove all silverskin, senue and fat, deer marrow in the meat is wild, wild..Just my two bits..and IMO deer hamburger just sucks! elk hamburger is the nectar of the Gods..oh well just my take.. Eeker
