beer batter onion rings
found out a secret about them. the darker the beer you use, the better the rings. simple recipe. take the while of 1 egg and mix a bottle dark beer with it, then pour in about 1 cup of flour and mix the whole works up. leave the rings in the mix for a couple of minutes before frying them. nice thin tasty batter. then for a twist, take an apple, peel it and slice it into rings. cut out the cores and fry it up like the onion rings. when done sprinkle a bit of cinnamon, sugar and black pepper mix on the. (yes - black pepper)

canola oil at 375. if the oil goes under about 350 the rings will be greasy and if it gets near 400 it burns

Yes of course , the dark beers have more flavor than Bid Lite ! Dark beers also are better when you use it for marinating for the same reason .
