I got a 20 ga loader for christmas and a load book USA book for 20/28/.410. They have different loads for different types of shell cases. Going through the boxes and bags Ive collected over the years, Ive only been able to ID the winchester AAs. I have a fair sized box of Remington/Peters. Is there any logical way to ID these shells, particularly the Remingtons?

Any advise would help.
Thanks
Krueger

The best way I know of, is to buy the Lyman Shotshell Reloading Handbook, 5th Edition.

That has great descriptions of the different shell constructions for each gauge and brand, with sectioned pics. Lots of good pressure tested load data and general loading info, too.

Cheers,
Doug
