Anybody done it? Such an affordable and diverse powder that I would like to give it a try. Plenty of birdshot data - why not buckshot? I'm thinking 2 3/4" 8 pellet 00 (approx 1oz loads), maybe up to max pressure (11,400psi). Please share your thoughts/experiences.

Thanks,
Deke

Spoke to Hodgdon yesterday and I am answering my own questions. With buckshot you get less set back than bird shot which causes a pressure spike making some powders not advisable, Titegroup being 1 of those powders.

I load 2 3/4 shell with 9 pellets using a 34 bushing and 700x. I get just under 1400 fps. It's not advised, but you shouldn't have a problem if your using a good quality shotgun.

Personaly I like takeing the oppisite approach and load my buckshot loads to around 1200fps with lower pressures.

The pattern well easy on the gun and your shoulder.
