I've been using Clays forever and need more powder (resupply) Anybody tried E3? Any reason to change? Just curious, like to try new things. But I buy 16# at a time so if it's crap I won't bother.

Never used it, but the guys that have all seem to speak very highly of it. Clean, consistent, and very "flexible" over a wide range of loads.

However, I've not been able to get over the price. Promo and tightwad are too cheap.... FWIW, Dutch.

Tried it and liked it, it is everything Alliant clams, clean effecient in low temp etc. For me the factor that prevented me from purchasing it again is price. I can live with Promo, Clay Dot and others just fine and pushing that cleaning rod through the barrel dosn't bother me when I am saving $25 or more on an 8# jug.

In my area the differance is a little less than that but noticeable.

I should have added that I agree the clean part is not a deal breaker. Powder residue is nothing compared to wad build up.
