Folks, Is it safe to fire slugs in a 12 ga. smooth bore full choked barrel? Thanks much

For some yes, and for some it is not advised. Check with the ammo manufacturer. They usually provide that info on the web but they will also tell you if you reach out to them with email or a phone call. .

So far in my experience, safe yes...accurate no. Not even minute of barn door at 100. I would check with the gun or ammo maker though.

Depends on the gun. A finely balanced double with thin barrels, no. A Baikal or Mossberg fencepost rammer, go for it! ![]()

Round ball and slug loaded in commercial cartridges are meant to be safe IF STATED SO ON THE BOX, yes. But I wouldn't do it. No way at all! And as others says accuracy will be all over the place. And certainly home made slugs with projeticles made from popular brand moulds never.
