I was looking at a powder that I could use in both my 16 and 20 ga 1oz reloads. I've used IMR 4756 for years and it works fine but is a little dirty when it gets real cold. I thought a little faster burning powder may cure this. My mek 1oz shot bar throws about 15/16oz of hard shot. Ther are no 1oz loads on the Hogdons site in 20 ga using Universal powder. I use Rem and Win cases only. Can I get away with using the data for the 7/8 load for the 15/16 oz my shot bar throws? I want to use either the WW 20 or the RXP 20 wad for my reloads. Thanks

I think the answer is yes, assuming that you are using a modern, strongly made shotgun.

If you want to be super safe, cut the recommended powder charge by half a grain.
