FOLKS ,
I'm looking for some load data for a couple of blank loads. I have a couple of breech loading cannons ( 2 - 10 gauge & 1-12 gauge )& I want to load up some shells for Independence Day.
I've got a bunch of 10 gauge paper hulls-new primed 'VERY PISTOL " never loaded in 10 gauge. The are paper & 2 3/4 ". They were going to be loaded for signal flares for the WWI flare guns & I guess sold as surplus after WWII . I MUST use black powder in these shells for the cannons. The 12 gauge shells are Winchester AA . I want to use these for 2 different loads. The first MUST be black powder for the little cannon. Tha second use would be for "POPPER LOADS " we use for dog training. I did have a popper load of -30 grains of Hodgon TRAP 100 & 4-.200 nitro cards. Well Trap 100 is long gone & Hodgon told me they didn't replace it with anything. If anyone has any around I'd be glad to buy it.I also have several new 10 gauge brass hulls & the oversize wads & tools for them .

Any help from you folks will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in avance for your time , help & knowledge.

SOUP,
For factory 12 gauge blanks, try:
www.kentgamebore.com
They call them PROTRIAL Field Blanks.
To load your own 12 and 20 gauge order Popper Loads Brochure from www.ballisticproducts.com
Lefteris.

I believe Winchester used black powder in their 10 ga. blanks for their neat little canon (really wish I had one of those!); those things really made a lot of noise+smoke.. Will look in my old Lyman shotgun manual as I think they listed some blank loads for the 10 ga.

I have used triple 7 which is a black powder substitute, unlike regular propellant BP or its substitute do not need resistance for the Bang

Get a 777 load data for Shotshell and use a media such as cushed walnut shells or ground corn husk to fill in the case, again since you are still excellerating a media they are still dangerous so do not point it at something you do not want to destroy
