About 6 weeks ago, while in Las Vegas for the SCI convention, I got a surprise.
We left the convention a day early and went further south to Laughlin, where my wife and I usually leave our money. Not this time.
To make a long story short, I had a run of luck at the Blackjack table after losing 400 dollars, the luck changed and from then on, it still is hazy. (Maybe due to the amount of Scotch they fed me)
Anyway I sat down at that table around 9:00pm and when I left the table at 6:30am the following morning, I left with $37,000 of their money. So I treated myself to a gently used, extremely clean and well maintained 2008 Corvette Z51

What a treat.

I am damn glad somebody left town with some of their money cause it is never me! I think you made a great investment! Hope you saved some cash for speeding tickets!

Slider,
This is my 4th 'Vette. Currently, I have 2. A Nostalgic 1981 that I picked up last year. Had 22,836 original miles on it when I bought and then this gem. Man did the times, technology and horsepower change.

It sounds like you are resilient to tickets. Cool

Not resilient at all, I get tempted just like anyone else. Just very cautious. I don't like tickets plus, I have a Commercial Driver's license so tickets are doubly expensive, monetarily and point wise. I usually run 3 or 4 over the limit and faithfully use the cruise control.
I had an '80 back when. Nice touring car, woefully underpowered, just like the '81.
