Need some feedback. Seems like a good guy. But, most of them sound good on the 'net..

Norman ConquestI don't know him, but my son might. He has had 2 Dodge vintage cars done by a guy in Dallas + had good results; I'll ask him who the guy is that did his work for him.

Norman ConquestI just talked to my so, + he's not the guy he uses. His guy is in Terrell + right now is booked solid. My son is picking up one Road runner from him in the next couple of days + will be dropping off another. I'll get you a contact # when it looks like things have slowed down for him, if you're interested. Best, Randy

customboltThanks Randy. We will ride it out. He's been running 9 months behind at least for now. Just wonder if other restoration customers had issues.

Norman ConquestI'd be willing to bet that anyone who does good, reasonable work will have somewhat of a backlog. I'll get back with you when I know more. BTW, what are you restoring?

And finish the work a year later than they say.

Norman ConquestUnfortunately, that's true for a lot of them. I know that I could have never operated that way in my business + expect to stay open. I know it's not a level playing field, or quite the same thing, but in the commercial construction business, there are financial penalties for noncompletion in the time allotted in the contract.

customboltThe car is a factory big block 396 1967 Impala 4 door hardtop built as a Supernatural TV show "baby" clone. Rotiserie restoration deal. No trunk assault kit.
I know it is the norm for a delay in many custom shops of all kinds. Double seems to be a constant.
It is still a pain for me since I always try to keep my word and rarely missed doing so for the last 50 years+.

Norman ConquestThat type of attitude seems to be much more prevalent these days, + the standard response is my pet peeve, Well, that's just the way it is."

J_ZolaCustombolt, do you have facebook? Looks like he is active and answering complaints about deliveries.

customboltYes. The Mrs. has been in touch with him there. He responds quickly within a few days. Guess I'm not the only one getting pushed back.
