I was just looking at an AMG with a flat dark grey paint. There was an AMG wagon with a flat white paint. I thought they looked awful.

Saw a flat black Dodge Challenger riding around Vegas during a walk while attending SCI. Just doesn't look right to me on anything other than a Rat Rod.

OK, so what is "a wrap"?

It's a film you put over the whole car, like window tinting or a clear bra.

On the plus side you can peel it off without damaging the original paint ... in theory

Thanks sevens. It doesn't encourage rust or anything? Semi permanent?
Peter.

It's how they are applying the weekly sponsor race paint on NASCAR stockers. Goes on, comes off with an industrial grade hair dryer...

I like it! I had a gloss black car once, as once was enough because it only looked good for ten minutes after a wash job and then the dust settled on it. I could get into this kind of black.
