Am still looking to get myself a sort-of luxury 4-wh. dr. SUV. Have found a very few, very nice looking Mercedes 3.5 litre "M" class SUVs locally. They don't have all the goodies, but do have, amongst other things: -Traction control -Stability control -ABS -Power emergency brake support -Cruise control -Instant activation or deactivation (with the ignition key) of the air bags -4 wheel drive -Automatic transmission -Seat and mirror memories for different drivers -Multi-adjustable steering wheel -24 valve V-6 fuel-injected gasoline engine -All leather interior -Bose sound system, with multiple disc player(s) -Electric everything (mirrors, entry, locks, etc.) and a whole bunch more geegaws such as outdoor temp gauge and similar not very important at all things. Now, keeping in mind that I DO NOT want something like this for off-road 4-wheel drive excursions, but do want something similar just as a daily driver, does anyone have any comments or info they would be willing to share which I should be aware of? Do they also have some particular Achilles heel? My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still. | ||

Well, as no one warned me off of of them, I bought one. Never seen a car with so many options. Has the MB equivalent of Lo-jack and "on-Star", auto windshield wipers and headlights, GPS, storable "parking" settings for the mirrors (allows you to see the curb and the rear wheels at the same time), individually-set heated seats with adjustable heating settings, normal "all-wheel drive" but with a low range transfer case too, and the list just goes on and on for over 200 pages! I'm gonna have to go to summer school just to get any idea of what all is one it, and how to operate and/or set each of them. Even comes with lifetime roadside emergency assistance. This thing has the potential for a LOT of irritating repairs. But while it works, it is something I couldn't even have dreamed up when I was young, let alone gotten. Should be an adventure......
