327 ci, 300 horse, motor is balanced, and the engine is blue printed. ie heads and intake were cc'd. This car also has factory air that works.
All original except the wheel wells.

I know a fellow that does quite a bit with late 60's and early 70 muscle cars. The high horsepower units from Chevy and Ford that ran over 6000 RPM with solid lifters never came with AC. He told me the compressors would not stand that RPM so you better have had a cool climate and he also said they had a tendency to overheat in traffic.
Butch, I realize you have a "milder tuned engine" in your car what is the redline on your vet? just curious.

Might just take a peek at the Tach. Most units will signal the limit is red?

I've learned to fall in and fall out of it. When I sell this one the next project is a 69 camero. When I was a kid I had a 69 Z28. I really loved that car, but sold it to buy a toyota land cruiser. My interest changed.

MYTH BUSTED!

For every one of your rules there are 2 exceptions:

1964-65 327-365hp solid lifter vettes

and 1972 350 LT-1 255hp solid lifter vettes were available with A/C, albeit the '72 had a lower RPM tach (5600 vs. 6500) to remind the driver that the drive belts would not take the extra revolutions.

1969 Z-28...302 with solid lifters, and insane RPM capability for it's time. Almost impossible to find one with its original 302, as most of us blew them up in very short order! British Racing Green with white stripes down the center. Ahhhhh...those were the days!
